Membership of the AQR is on an individual basis only, by annual subscription. The Association is a non-profit organisation and all its revenues and subscriptions go back into promoting qualitative research and supporting its members.

As of 6 April 2008, the AQR annual membership fee is an approved professional fee on which tax relief can be claimed by UK tax payers. For details please see Tax Relief.
