The AQR Bursary Scheme
The AQR Bursary was introduced from 2005 for one free place on both the Residential and Non-Residential Foundations Courses to encourage aspiring qualitative researchers in their efforts to get on the first rung of the career ladder.
The AQR Foundation Courses provide a valuable introduction to new researchers providing them with an understanding of the theory and practise of all the key elements of designing and running an effective qualitative research project. The Bursary will cover the full delegate fee for one delegate on each of the Foundation Courses.
Conditions of Entry
All applicants for the Bursary must be able to demonstrate a commitment to gaining entry to the qualitative research industry. Applicants may come from any background regardless of age, race, gender, life-experience or education. You must simply be able to convince the AQR Bursary Panel of your suitability to the industry. The following criteria must be met to qualify for a Bursary Award. The judges' decision will be final.
- Applicants must not be permanently employed in market research, either qualitative or
quantitative, at the time the course is running.
- Applicants will not be eligible for the Bursary if they have accepted the
offer of a qualitative research job, but have not yet begun work at the time
the course is running.
- Applicants must be based in the UK and demonstrate a clear intention to seek permanent employment as a commercial qualitative researcher in the UK
